Taimate bulls are solid built bulls, built to climb to the top of the blocks, shift well with the ability to hold condition in the dry and have longevity. I have brought bulls from Taimate stud over the last five years and have not had a bull breakdown.

We now produce a calf that is more compact and heavier at weaning. With calves sold at weaning this is a great improvement for us."

    Traditional Angus Cattle
      We only breed using New Zealand Sires, with a very limited use of any over seas bloodlines. This enables us to produce deep, thickset, well muscled bulls – The traditional Angus Cattle Beast.

    Reared to withstand any climate
      Our bulls are raised in one of New Zealand’s driest climates, with no irrigation, and run on hill country for 75% of their lives to sale day. They are able to handle climatic conditions throughout the country, and are still able to perform and hold their condition.

    Human contact for better temperament
      Taimate Angus Bulls are raised with human contact and are regularly worked with dogs from a young age. They have excellent temperament.

Our Location
Taimate is located on the east coast of the top of the South Island, New Zealand. The Taimate property runs along State Highway 1, 5km north of Ward, 40km south of Blenheim.
